The mission for excellence in education field has resulted in creation of MITACSC. MITACSC was established in the year 2007, under the aegis of Maharashtra Academy of Engineering and Educational Research (MAEER) Pune. It is affiliated to the University of Pune and recognized by the Government of Maharashtra.

The college is located in a quiet corner of the city on the bank of the holy river Indrayani. Its campus provides pollution free and peaceful environment to the students.
